New Devote Human is a completely revolutionary album, the result of an excellent collaboration between the Finnish project STROM.ec and the Norwegian artist Kristoffer Oustad, where the band shows us once again that it is able to extend the boundaries of a genre not always easy to conceive, taking us to sound landscapes never seen before.
The album is composed of a strong set of metallic and distorted sounds, without forgetting the strong imprint of the voices shouted, stories of the STROM.ec, all always well maintained by a present and aggressive groove, composed of mechanical percussion and distorted bass.
The first three tracks of the album respond well to the description just made, but from the fourth, there is a change of gender.
Nattsvermer seems to have been put to the listener for a moment, that after listening to the first tracks, we find a very calm drone song.
Reluctant traveler rest (Prod. Grutle Kjellson) takes care of the style of the first songs, with a strong touch of trismatic singing and electric guitars, giving an aura of ritualism and metal to the song.
The album then continues to found well drones and sounds, but without returning to the genre of the first three tracks, characterized by those scratchy mechanical tribal rhythms, screaming voices, and powerful distorted bass.
We can say that it is one of the most intriguing albums published at the end of 2017, and certainly a revolutionary album for lovers of the Industrial and Noise genre.
"New Devote Human" è un album completamente rivoluzionario, risultato di un'ottima collaborazione fra il progetto finlandese STROM.ec e l'artista norvegiese Kristoffer Oustad, dove il duo ci mostra ancora una volta che è in grado di allungare i confini di un genere non sempre facile da concepire portandoci in paesaggi sonori mai visti prima.
L'album è composto da un forte insieme di suoni metallici e distorti, senza far mancare anche la forte impronta delle voci urlate, tipiche degli STROM.ec, il tutto sempre ben tenuto da un groove presente ed aggressivo, composto da percussioni meccaniche e bassi distorti.
Le prime tre tracce dell'album rispondono bene alla descrizione appena fatta, ma dalla quarta, c'è un cambio di genere.
Nattsvermer sembra quasi che sia stata messa per dare una attimo di respiro all'ascoltatore, che dopo aver ascoltato le prime tracce, si ritrova una canzone drone molto calma.
Successivamente Reluctant Traveller (feat. Grutle Kjellson) ci riporta allo stile delle prime canzoni, con un forte tocco di troath singing e chitarre elettriche, dando un'aura di ritualismo e di metal alla canzone.
L'album poi continua fondendo bene droni e suoni noise, ma senza ritornare al genere delle prime tre tracce, caratterizzate da quei ritmi tribali meccanici graffianti, le voci urlanti, e i potenti bassi distorti.
In definitiva, uno degli album più intriganti pubblicati verso la fine del 2017, e sicuramente un album rivoluzionario per gli amanti del genere Industrial e Noise.
