The debut of the Ruumisto music project published on the official Bandcamp page of the Finnish duo impressed us a lot, in particular for the quality of the audio and the vastness of sounds that they managed to put in place on the album.
Sotakesa is a great mix of environment drones and sampling of various plucked instruments (cetre, harps), wind instruments (horns, flutes), stringed instruments (talharpa), bells and voices (singing, troath singing and polyphonic singing) )
A really varied album, which goes from songs that remind us of the sounds of Forndom, then move on to a much darker genre similar to the Phurpa with a strong presence of the troath singing and dark ambient drones.
Definitely one of the neofolk-ambient albums inspired by nordic music most promising for this 2018!
Il debutto del progetto musicale Ruumisto pubblicato sulla pagina ufficiale Bandcamp del duo finlandese ci ha colpiti molto, in particolare per la qualità dell'audio e per la vastità di sonorità che sono riusciti a mettere in atto nell'album.
Sotakesa è un ottimo mix di droni d'ambiente e campionamenti di vari strumenti a pizzico (cetre, arpe), strumenti a fiato (corni, flauti), strumenti ad arco(talharpa),campane e voci (canto ,troath singing e canto polifonico)
Un album veramente variegato, che và da canzoni che ci ricordano le sonorità di Forndom con le prime tre tracce con strumetni a pizzico, per poi passare anche ad un genere molto più dark simile ai Phurpa con una forte presenza del troath singing e di droni dark ambient nella traccia Suurena sotakesänä, per poi ritornare al genere più classico con voci e strumenti ad arco.
In definitiva, uno degli album neofolk-ambient che si ispira alla musica nordica più promettente per questo 2018!
